Dakota Frost is a tattoo artist, not the normal one hers are magical she is also a Skindancer. She tattoed herself and her body tats move on her. Dakota is asked by her Uncle Rand to help find a serial killer who is killing magical tattoo artists and stealing tats some before the person is dead. Dakota gets many clients one is a werewolf named Wulf who wants a spell tat that will help him control his Wolf at the time of the full moon. Its a Nazi symbol so Dakota wants it checked out because it may be harmful to him. She is very careful about her art. Wulf has a lot of mystery about himself and this causes him to be a suspect when people start to die. Dakota also ends up with a challenge from a wizard who she admires . She goes to many lengths to help find the serial killer before he kills others or herself. Dakota also seeks protection from Vampires but they can only do so much . Her friends and herself end up in danger and a surprise person ends up saving her in the end. She does manage to defeat the serial killer with her magic even though he might be working for someone else. She meets a weretiger she saves and ends up adopting her. Seems like things are happy in the end.


This story was really good . I enjoyed it from beginning to end. Knowing it was fantasy the way it was written I could actually see the tats flying around the room. It had all the things I enjoy in a story. Took me until Chapter 41 to figure out who the killer was but I like a good mystery. I kept wondering why Frost Moon? Thanks so much for explaining that. I will definitely look forward to more . I hear there may be a lot more I can't wait.

Returning home finds Sam Hall in the middle of Haunted Happenings . He finds a young man Malachi drenched in blood. Malachi is accused of murdering his family. Not only them but naybe two other members of the town. He lives in Lexington House which has a past prior two owners have been killers ,killing their families. The town is full of tourists they love this time of year and the fact that witches and other religions are practiced there. Malachi has a firm supporter in Jamie who asks his niece to assist Sam on the case . Which being a lawyer he agrees to take after meeting the boy . The three believe he didn't do it. Jenna the niece is an FBI agent for the paranormal and brings in her team to help. The town people just want Malachi locked up but there lies another secret of some sort. Jenna has a talent to hear ghosts and see the past.

During the investigation Sam and Jenna are drawn to each other and become lovers. Among all the towns beliefs and the Halloween things going on things start to unfold. Since Sam's family was from the town he knew the Sheriff and was able to access some help. Jenna also knew people she went to school with but what really helped them was not the living in the end it all worked out well.

The story gave us some background but not enough to make it boring I liked that. Gave enough suspects and reasons to chose them and try to figure out on your own. Made you think Sam was going to be the one to figure out who the killer was yet Jenna did also. But the twist was there were two killers. Kept my attention through the whole story I enjoyed it from the beginning to end. Plus the recipes at the end were really nice. Thanks.

Will is a really old Vampire who hibernates and wakes up randomly,someone prepares for him a room to live in under a church. He doesn't know who or why so he searches to find out. He must feed so he uses those that won't be missed like homeless people. He comes across a man named Jex who speaks to him of things about himself . As Will is killing him he tells Will he needs to save a girl and gives him a diary the girls picture is in it tells him the name of a person who is evil . Will sets out to find the girl and the person who made him a monster or gave him the sickness. Eloise is her name and Will saves her from some young boys who are harrassing her. He eventually has to tell her what he is and she wants to become just like him. Together they set out with some help from two other people to find the one who made Will a vampire fighting demons along the way. Finally Will comes face to face with his maker and doesn't get any answers before he has to kill him. He does find out there is a evil being that is more powerful in the world that has seen something in Will that made him seek him out . Eloise is also part of the puzzle and part of Will's destiny. She has the other half of the pendant that Will's maker had around his neck. Will was told by the Women who were accused of being witches and burned that the evil one will approach him and William will do evil . There is a wizard involved some how named Wyndham . He approaches one of the boys that harrassed Eloise and is training him for something . Wyndham believes that Will of Mercia is evil.

There were flahbacks explaining how Will became bitten during the burning of the witches. I couldn't understand why he would hibernate or why he was turned into a vampire and left alone for all those years. The witches and Wyndham seem to think Will is evil yet to me he doesn't seem to be and Eloise sure does trust him. He doesn't kill for the fun of it. I sure would like to know the answers I hope there will be another book. Kind of leaves too many unanswered questions just when it was starting to get good.

She falls in love with a suspect but he is later cleared and becomes her trusted friend and savior.Her father passes and that is when the truth surfaces about her long line of witch ancestors and she learns that her boyfriend Nathan is a vampire. The Killer is targeting her relatives all the women are her cousins. Nathan helps her learn her powers ,trains her and does an unbinding spell that her grandmother put on them so that they could hide. this allows Brianna to become stronger in her field. Nathan and Brianna conjured a spell to take back all the powers that the killer possessed when he drained the Garner witches which really made him mad. Agent Morrison turns out to be a trusted friend and keeps their secret he actually believes them. When in danger Brianna remembers what Nathan teaches her in training to get away and face the killer John. Also there is a twist with another female . Just read a wonderful story The Whole Story of Half a Girl
The Story was about Sonia and her sister Natasha,her father was from India and never had much. Their mother was Jewish but not very strict on religion. Father happens to lose his job and become depressed and the girls have to go to public school instead of their Community school. Sonia seems to find herself after being asked many times what she is? She also fits in with her new so called friends yet realizing the difference between color of skin and how families live. The family learns to deal with the pressures of everyday life and how to get help when they need it.
From beginning to end the story kept an even flow. Was true and helpful in understanding how children of a certain age see others in forms of color,race,religion and wealth statis. Loved how Sonia over came her halfness as so many children are these days.She was able to function in school without fights .Families today have so much to deal with and getting help is hard for them to ask for but this family did and over came their problems. I really enjoyed the story and others should be able to relate to it also.

Found another Great Place to Find Authors

Shayla Black is one I have been hearing about and that brought me to here. Under the Covers, well I do read before I go to bed but I don't think I will be reading under the covers in this heat. Not by the looks of the covers on these books. Don't think I will need covers all through the winter. Those who know me understand I love to joke. I'm told she is a great author and I see some others here that I've read interviews on that I have read the books so I'm going to see if I can go find some of Shayla's books now . I'm hungry oh I just got home from the dentist thats why. hehehe.

Another Great Author and Contest Eve Silver

Before I do the usual blab about the great author I read a review about there is a contest I found for a new book coming out on my BIRTHDAY. The author is Eve Silver the title is Body of Sin. Well its not exactly what you think. I've read some of her other book Sins of the Soul . Underworld and Soul stealing with some romance thrown in I'm sure you have to have love right? What's the world Over or Under without Love? So I'm adding all the rest to my Goodreads list . Thank my sons for my new toy they got me my bday present early a Kindle . I wasn't so sure I wanted one since I love the library the smell of books and spending time with Hubby and his modeling the cover poses while the people look at him strange . I even had him take out books on his card and the ladies would give him looks because most of the guys didn't have shirts on he didn't care he never noticed. Kept saying why do they think its weird I'm reading hehehe. So now I can get them sooner. Love you boys xoxoxo

Found another Author to Read today Thea Harrison

Today in my travels while it was so hot and humid here in Philly. While poor Hubby was out in the heat on the street playing with the fire engines I was sitting nice and cool in front of the computer in between reading First Grave on the Right by Darynda Jones. Getting ready for her chat interview on Sunday hoping to get to the free book I won on Goodreads Second Grave on the Left. Really enjoying this book its funny and upbeat.

Thanks again Facebook and my reading groups and pages for helping me find all these good reads. I haven't read an interview about THEA HARRISON yet will have to check and see if she is going to be featured on Bookmonster reviews or Literal Additions Pananormal book club really LOVE those sites great info there . She is coming out with another book on Aug. 2 and giving readers a chance to win a copy. I just love contests and you don't even have to answer a question right. The covers of her books are really handsome so of course guys are one them . Not sure but I think the series which I LOVE series you know me well some don't but I gotta read them all starts with Dragon Bound . I love dragons I'm hoping these are shifters because I read some where someone writes about shifters like in TrueBlood and they are dragons WOW neat huh? Then Serpent's Kiss well sounds like a dragon to me. I get thrown off by Heart's Storm but since I haven't read any yet I better go see if the libray has any before my next run. Now back to the book and I'm crocheting a baby blanket for my son's friend who is due in 15 no 14 days I haven't got a chance with the heat and I'd rather be reading right now.

Book Monster Reviews is Wonderful why you wonder?

They do these super great interviews with authors that write wonderful books that I enjoy reading. Some might not like but I really enjoy them. They ask really good questions to the authors and they answer them with answers that are from the heart . You really get to know about them how they write or decide on a character or theme how they grew up. Who their favorite characters are or were growing up even. Some even said that they enjoyed putting their feet up and having a beer. Made you feel like you were right in the room with them. But it even gets better because at the end you get to try and win a book. Sometimes they are signed copies even. All you have to do is leave a comment . I guess if you don't want to read the question and answers you don't have to but just leave a comment its fine but I enjoy reading them. I won my first book today . A signed copy. I haven't read the author yet. I do have two of her books here that I got out of the library . I also plan on having Jowe do a video to win something else after I read both books but we will get into that later. So if you love to read as I do I'd say check out Book Monster Reviews great place to go.
