Things for my first Grandbaby
I'm really excited my step daughter is having a little girl in Nov. It will be my first grandbaby and I don't have girls only three boys so I'm super excited now. I've started making all kinds of girlie things . Then I realized I better slow down and complete some of them before starting other things. I made this dress , trimmed in red because my Krissy loves the Phillies and plus it should fit her by christmas. I still have the back to close and add the decoration on the front the hat and booties to finish. Its a pattern I purchased from the UK. Just Crochet she has beautiful patterns at great prices.

Ditched the cover up after 4 tries on to something else

I finished one beach cover up last yr. It didn't hang right. I tried about 3 more but just couldn't get them right with the kind of yarn I was using . I'm not saying I've given up yet. Just that I've put it away for awhile. Now I'm working on SEWING box dolls. The pattern is from Annies and you use 8oz. containers and a 10" doll. I've had orders for a few so I guess its back to work on them while I watch the Flyers game.

From towel toppers to beach cover ups
I started off July with making towel toppers as gifts . I bought some red white and blue towels with stars and gave them out. My mother in law requested six sets to give as gifts so I just threw in the towel after finishing them and started on a beach coverup. My step daughter Chrissy is just the perfect size for trying new things .
I enjoy making things small they go faster and finding someone to use them makes it even better. She informed me yesterday that she could use a beach coverup so it was funny I was already working on one. I have half of it done. I'm off to work on it some more.
